Ethan Chargois will enter the July evaluation period with strong interest in Colorado. The 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward from Tulsa (Okla.) Union took a trip to Boulder recently, and that trip exceeded his expectations, as well as his family's expectations.

"That was probably my favorite visit so far," Chargois said of his CU visit. "Everything there was just so nice. All the coaches were really cool. They spent a lot of time talking to us and getting to know me. I feel like they really care about me and my family.

"One thing that stuck with me was [head] coach [Tad] Boyle's message. He said, 'I could go on the circuit and find somebody that can jump higher. I could go on the circuit and find somebody faster. I could go on the circuit and find somebody that is a better shooter. But there is nobody that can does what you do skill wise.' That's what he said."

Wake Forest, Kansas State, New Mexico, Florida International and St. Mary's are the other colleges that have been recruiting Chargois the hardest. He hopes to turn more heads while running with Team Blake Griffin during the July evaluation period.

"We're going to the Peach Invitational Tournament, we're going to the Great American Shootout in Duncanville and then we're going to the Jayhawk Classic in Kansas the last weekend," he said. "I really want to show my skills to everybody that watches me play because all the colleges that are recruiting me said they will be at my games in July."

Chargois said he wants to return to Colorado on an official visit, and Kansas State is another school he is likely to take an official visit to before making a commitment.

"I am going to finish out the July tournaments and narrow my list down to five and then take all five official visits," he said. "I'd like to decide the beginning of my senior year."
